Ipecacuanha (Cephaelis ipecacuanha) , also known as Ipecac, fluid extract containing 0.9% total alkaloids expressed as emetin determined by titulometric assay. Product is made using ipecacuanha roots submitted to hydroalcoholic extraction, final alcohol grade of 49 degrees. It is a brown limpid liquid with characteristic odor and taste and a level of 9.25% of dry residue. The product is conform with WHO standards for Microbiology standards.
